"On one of our conservation properties in the beautiful, arid Australian outback I found this lone emu approaching a small pool of water. Being such a dry location, water is a precious resource for native wildlife. I slowly crept down to the edge of the water on the other side of the pond and laid still, waiting for the emu to come closer for a drink. Sure enough, he began to drink, scooping up mouthfuls of water. Eventually, I got this photo showing the water droplets falling from his mouth as he looked straight down the camera lens." - Robert Irwin
