"In this image, the spectacular Milky Way can be seen over the Wenlock River. In order to get this shot, I monitored the position of the stars night after night, then scouted a stretch of the winding river that would line up underneath the Milky Way and showcase a brilliant reflection. I waited for a still night without any cloud cover and set up with a tripod and camera right next to the river (standing outside of the strike-range of the many crocs that inhabit this beautiful river system!) I was happy that the resulting image not only shows the stars in all their glory but also the lush bushland lining the river and their reflections in the water." - Robert Irwin
