"Every year, during the cold winter months, water birds like swans gather in huge numbers in the Klamath Basin which draws in many different species of birds of prey. On one early morning, I was trekking through the sub-zero, snowing marshland of Southern Oregon photographing eagles hunting tundra swan. As a huge flock of swan took off right next to me, I singled out one individual and took a series of photos to capture an image of the spectacular bird in perfect symmetry." - Robert Irwin
