"I photographed this unusual occurrence while camping on the Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve in remote Northern Queensland for our annual croc research expedition. I visited a swamp on the reserve almost every night for a month where an influx of amphibians attracted predators like snakes. However, I never expected seeing this huge spider dangling in mid-air from a single strand of silk, grasping this desert tree frog. I used a macro lens and a flash to display the fine detail of this amazing predator prey interaction." - Robert Irwin
