While snorkelling, I had an amazing encounter with this beautiful humpback whale. One afternoon I was out in the deep water just past the reef searching for manta rays to photograph when all of a sudden this inquisitive humpback emerged from the deep to take a closer look at me. I decided to capture a photo that showcases the animal in and out of the water to show just how much we miss above the surface. Staying motionless as the whale swam closer, I was finally able to capture this!
