Species: Green sea turtle and Hawksbill sea turtle (Cheloniamydas and Eretmochelysimbricate)
Location: Lady Elliot Island, Great Barrier Reef, Queensland, Australia
While snorkelling, I came upon two turtles feeding on the algae on a small patch of coral. As I swam closer, I noticed that these were in fact two separate species feeding together; on the left a hawksbill sea turtle and on the right a green sea turtle. After feeding for a while, they slowly went their separate ways. As they moved off, I dived down to take this image to include the rays of afternoon light beaming through the water. Both of these species are classed as endangered due to a great many human-caused threats, so it was a special experience to photograph them.

Please note: The image with Robert is not the canvas you will receive.   The canvas on offer is the image with the two turtles.
